Garbage Bag Retaining Ring of MT08RB/W and MT13RB/W

My husband accidentally threw out the ring with the trash. Easy to do if you are in a hurry since the ring is covered by the top of the garbage bag and can get tucked inside when you pull on the garbage bag draw string. Given the cost of a new ring, however, it is not a mistake you are likely to make twice. I'm just grateful that the ring is sold separately! Love my iTouchless trash can so much that I have three of them!!!

The retainer ring was slightly too small

I was excited about getting this replacement as I was using duct tape to hold my other one together. The ring came within the timeframe for delivery but when I opened it, it didn't fit right. It was more oblong instead of round. I thought maybe it just got miss shaped and I tried to slowly bend it a little to reshape and it broke in half. I should have just returned it instead of trying to fix it. I wish these rings were made better to last longer. This is my second trash can from itouchless and this seems to be a part that isn't made well. I am afraid to order a new ring and contemplating trying a different brand. Sad because I really like everything else about the trash can!

They are warped and do not seat well. Even with the lid on them.

Works as expected. I have to remember not to throw it out again.
