Garbage can doesn't slam shut anymore

The old air damper holder was blown out allowing the air damper to fall through, causing the lid to slam shut. This new air damper holder was easy install. The garbage can is quiet again!!! Yay!!!

Continued issues with lid damper.

I previously had to buy a replacement damper for the lid of my Touchless kitchen garbage can in about a year's worth of use. Wasn't too happy having to pay over $30 (w/ shipping) for replacement damper where total price of can is around $90-100. A year later I had to replace the damper holder ring as the bottom of the socket the damper sits in broke out. Another $30 plus shipping. This will be last repair, as I've spent more than 50% of a new can. Will shop another brand for sure. Very disappointed in the reliability.
