The opening is larger and it stays open longer. The attachment that holds the trash bag is easier to use-something my husband always had problems with-and the bag doesn't fall in. All around a great trash can!

It is nice and compact, however nothing was said about ordering the a/c adapter separately or that it took 4 d cell batteries, I learned the hard way after it was delivered. But all in all it is a great buy.
