13 Gallon Stainless Steel Sensor Kitchen Trash Can with AC Power Adapter

I bought this off Amazon because I was sick of my dogs getting into the trash can. Since getting this can it has been a charm. The lid mechanism broke after about 6months. We took it apart to try to fix it but unfortunately not possible. So we purchased another lid. It worked for a year and 3 months, now it’s broken again. I emailed the company to see if there’s any other way to fix this without having to buy another lid for $69.99 but I have a feeling I’ll either have to invest my money in another working product or buy another lid.

This is our 3rd one of these garbage cans. We love them, but unfortunately we do end up having to replace it about every 5 years because the lid stops working.

Purchased my trash can 3 years ago, replecment 3 times the lid, just stopped working, I did purchase the charge to try without batteries and again the lid stopped working, did all reset steps . To expensive to buy separately.

Gave as gift

I purchased my 13 gallon trashcan in fall 2019. I had to replace the lid in May, 2021. I have to replace it again now (12/2023). The mechanism goes bad and it won't open (or close). $64.99 for a replacement is too expensive....especially when they only last a couple years.
