Purchased my trash can 3 years ago, replecment 3 times the lid, just stopped working, I did purchase the charge to try without batteries and again the lid stopped working, did all reset steps . To expensive to buy separately.

I purchased my 13 gallon trashcan in fall 2019. I had to replace the lid in May, 2021. I have to replace it again now (12/2023). The mechanism goes bad and it won't open (or close). $64.99 for a replacement is too expensive....especially when they only last a couple years.
My mother-in-law had a waste bin that was hiding in a cabinet pull out, but opening the pullout whenever she needed to throw stuff away and her hands were messy was driving her nuts. We got her one of these and she is very happy.
