Cover was perfect after original cover stopped working after 2 years

We used this can in a very high traffic bedroom and it never failed. After 2 years of sustained use, new batteries had no effect. This is our third can and the others are going strong in year number 3 ( guest bathroom and guest bedrooms. My son has a very large size one in his kitchen. Hasn't failed after 3 years.

2nd lid worked just fine

2nd lid cover received under warranty worked. It won't close with hand wave but does just close on its own, which is just fine. Does the job I need it for. Happy. with it. Size is perfect.
